Information Resources & Technology has identified the problem that is preventing some Mac laptops from displaying properly on certain projectors in classrooms and other spaces.
The resolution for this issue requires a hardware upgrade, which we will be completing in phases over the summer. We expect this issue to be completely resolved in all rooms by the fall semester.
Users have reported that they only see a black screen when they are trying to project, though the laptop otherwise appears to be connected. If you encounter this issue in a classroom, we recommend using the desktop computer to display your content. In conference rooms or event spaces, use the desktop computer, if one is available, or switch to a different device, if needed.

Information Resources & Technology is investigating an issue that is preventing some Mac laptops — both personal and Rowan-managed — from displaying properly on certain projectors in classrooms and other spaces.
At this time, we do not have an estimated time for resolution, as the issue appears to be a broader compatibility problem between macOS and certain projection technologies. We will provide an update when more information is available.
